The 100X100 Project

This is amazing! why don't our Indian scientific community and policy makers think like this? The 100X100 Project in the US plans to network 100 million homes in the US with 100 Mbps connection! That's mind-boggling!!! Key institutions and the industry have stakes and have formed a consortium for execution of these plans. To name a few, AT&T, UCB, Stanford et al. As per the information in the site, it is said that high speed networks need to be the key for easy access to information! Truly a knowledge economy! Let India get some forward thinkers who could implement such scale projects for the benefit of the common men instead of the babus and netas who are always into high sounding words but no performance... God Save Us!

Of gadgets, temples and gods

First gadgets! More the tech gadgets available to men, more they will misuse them. The recent news of a Delhi school boy using a camera phone to catch an act of sleaze and another guy from IITK selling the video footage on the net, A Mumbai journalist capturing Kareena in intimate moments with Shahid in his camera mobile and printing it in press and then the obscene video of Trisha speak no less about the growing lascivious attitudes of men, truly men, as Men would do anything to prove they are men!! The juveniles are being screwed up for this act while thousands of porn videos and pictures are circulated across the length and breadth of the country by thugs and toads. How can we open the eyes of the Judiciary System in our country??
Then about gods and temples!
Last week, I paid a visit to the famous Thiruverkadu temple (around 15 Kms from Koyambedu) but was a little pained at the status of maintenance of the temple. Being famous, we expect more people to come in and PRAY to God, but people do more than praying, they eat, splash water, put wastes and maintain it as worse as their homes! When will the morons learn to keep a public place, that too a temple, clean? Should eating be permitted inside the temple?? and, only in this country, will God be available at a premium for people who can shell a little more than the others! There are special entrance queues, super special entrance queues, the people in which are respected A LOT by the guards and the cleaners for the few coins and notes they would throw at them! I was a lot more astonished at this "If you are rich, i fall at your feet" attitude of people working for Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams. There, the hierarchy is truly mind-boggling. There are Darshan tickets ranging from Free, Rs. 40 ... upto a lakh and a half. This raises very painful questions - Should God be available to men at a premium? what about people who cannot afford to pay for and see him?
God, Please answer my questions!!!
