Panel Discussion on Economic Policies

The sunday that passed was an interesting day! I attended a Panel Discussion on the topic - "Economic Policies - The Road Ahead" held at LIBA (Loyola). "Eminent" speakers like Subramaniam Swamy and some noted Economists had been panelists. One striking thing was that though he was claiming to be an Harvard educated, S Swamy displayed his political skills on the dias and tried to make the whole discussion a Political one rather than an Economic! other panelists also had to condescend to the levels of swamy who brought down the pertinence of the whole show! Even the other speakers spoke of banal information like BRIC report, Automobile revolution, IT and ITeS boom bla bla.. I wish i avoid such panel discussions in the future unless and until chaired by non-political men!
